APAS Independence installation in the UK
The APAS Independence has been designed for simple and straightforward integration within laboratory workflows, avoiding the common challenges associated with the implementation of other laboratory automation systems. It has a small footprint, is on wheels and can literally be rolled into place without any major disruption to the lab. All it requires is standard power and ethernet connection and it is ready to run.
On 17th of July 2020, the APAS Independence was installed at Health Services Laboratory in London by our service partner oneservice. Remote assistance and user training was provided from LBT’s technology development laboratory in Adelaide. By day two the APAS Independence was up and running and operational within the laboratory.
The installation was the first remote installation completed of the APAS® Independence, saving significant management time and costs, and most importantly has provided a scalable model for future installations.
